How I Help You Manage the Three Major Pillars of Your Business...
Besides what I call the “big three” categories of your business, there are a few others areas that also need your attention. But it’s important to remember that in order to grow your bottom line the emotional and logistical sides need to be working together for this to continue to happen. Everything we successfully set out to do in any part of our business, always starts here.
Since the emotional and logical sides of our brain are directly connected and influence each other, positive relationships between management, employees and customers is always my first and last priority. If it’s not, everything we are trying to do logistically in the middle becomes a wash, and a waste of energy that’s trying to build up momentum, and move us forward. It’s like driving with the gas and brake on at the same time. Happy employees can literally think better, because positive emotional energy directly affects how well they can use the logical sides of their brain to perform functions. While traditional business schools and consultants might ignore this crucial component, the latest scientific research proves this to be true.
When a person feels good about where they are, their logical side is able to process information not only easier, but much more accurately and effectively. This is because all of the parts of our body function together and work to their maximum capacity, without stress. So, when we set out to measure metrics, this is the invisible space between the numbers, or what’s actually working to take us to our goal. Happiness and the enjoyment of what we are doing are supposed to be the leading factors, so that we naturally have the energy and drive to continue on with what we're doing. (Of course, our financial goals are also an equal part of this equation, as well.) Any other method or philosophy that tells us to postpone or curtail our enjoyment of the process itself, risks that we might not make it to our goal. Or, if we do, by the time we get there, the energy we need to enjoy the fruits of our labor will already be spent! As you can see, the old fashioned method of grinding it out every day is leading most of us to burnout and depression. This approach is not necessary for us to succeed, as it only gets more difficult the longer we continue down that road.
So, rather than hiring a professional stress or massage therapist from time to time to make up for this common dilemma, there is plenty we can do to make sure our employees are happy at work. (That means us, too.) It doesn’t need to cost any more than what’s already needed to run our daily operating procedures, because this is something that we put into place with each other. Energy is always free – to move from here to there, between us...
When genuine positive encounters happen regularly during the natural flow of our day, we are able to function in a way where we are actually gaining and growing positive energy in the process of using it. (How’s that for immediate incentive?) After any positive encounter we have, both of us come out with more energy, than we had before the interaction. That’s the first successful step which translates in the exact same way with our customers. Having logistics that work and that are easy to manage, guarantees satisfied customers and motivated employees because these two areas of necessity have been met, right before the sale takes place. The positive energy we make or create together at work is then passed directly to our customer. This is what they return back to us, so that the cycle of energy can continue to move us productively through our day. Do you see how energy is moving through us and the parts of our business, so that we can keep the process moving along to where we really wanted to be, financially?
To make your logistics work more effectively, the steps should be easy to follow and understand, and there simply needs to be enough people on the floor, so that the workload can be handled in a stress free, steady, not rushed pace. Rushing only clouds our ability to think, and it makes us anxious. That doesn’t produce a growth in numbers any faster, because frustration, more mistakes, and negative emotions will only continue to spread and affect our operations. (You can see this principle for yourself in action. Work as fast as you can, and see how you feel and how you well you perform that task. Multiply this dynamic by hundreds or thousands of repetitions a day.)
In time, when left alone, this pace leads to an unmotivated and worn out workforce, a hostile environment or even violence; which is not only unsafe, but it takes huge amounts of resources away from the process we’re trying to manage successfully. What we’re trying to “save” by cutting corners, we lose; not only in costly situations but in a large turnover rates for employees, and our customers. From energy’s point of view, this happens because – the fear of not making enough, works its way into the other parts of our business that require positive energy to produce a favorable outcome. There is only so much we can contain as far as negative causes and affects go, especially when multiplied daily through many people. So, play it smart and safe in the long run, by making those logistics work – for you, and not against what you’re working hard to maintain. With hundreds or thousands of transactions, positive momentum and cash flow will be building right alongside what’s working – in real-time. In essence, when what you have is working, the lingering doubts about the bottom line "growing" will fade, and become replaced with positive results that you can see and feel, each and every day.
For new CEO’s it might be difficult to understand how these simple positive principles, make such a direct and lasting impact on the entire company. But with experience comes wisdom. In the end, this approach will save you a lot more time and energy, and with the natural repetition of so many successful transactions in a day – money. When we cut out what’s necessary to run our operations successfully, we may gain more at the bottom of a ledger sheet for a short time, but we pay a very heavy, real and painful price for such a small increase – emotionally, logistically, and financially. Being hyper-focused on the outcome and not the process that’s taking us there, makes it hard to see the damage that’s happening in other areas. When it arrives however, it affects everything we’re working to grow. And that’s not a place any one of us wants to be in.
So, as far as choosing an effective consultant to improve and expand your business…There are many who are savvy, smooth and experienced who will easily convince you to cut a few more corners to save short-term time and money. They will gladly make a deal knowing they’ve made your circumstances appear better – at least for a little while...
And that’s what sets me apart from the competition.
I know firsthand how energy is flowing in and out of every person, relationship, and working operation you have. My first goal is to strengthen relationships and your logistics process, so that the bottom line is never in question. My plans and steps are as small and conservative as they come, while at the same time producing maximum benefits for every part of your business that needs it.
It may require a little more thought in the beginning. However, at the end of the day, we all deserve to feel as good as we can about what we're doing to keep our customers, employees and ourselves coming back for more; and to see our financial gains continue to grow, without a hassle or worry.
Wasn’t that the goal, all along?
That’s what I can help you accomplish.
My formula to raise yearly profits with zero expenses out of pocket is only the beginning…
Positive relationships, logistics that work, and a growing bottom line is what we’re all after. And each part of this equation only helps another to complete its positive cycle. Without sacrificing anything, and by putting a few simple steps into place every day, it only becomes that much easier and not harder, to make this winning formula – your reality.
