No matter how much we have in life and in business, we are always looking to expand on what we’ve got – emotionally, logistically, and financially. Why? Because energy doesn’t just stay in the exact same place, or show up in the same way. In one way or another, it’s always moving itself around – either up or down – and so are we, with it. So let’s explore that idea…

If so, that’s great news because that’s exactly what you were aiming for. You were on target with your idea and it really worked out. In fact, that’s where everyone wants to be. Everyone wants to feel good about what they're doing, and what they have. In essence, there is only one big target in the world – and that’s it! Everything we decide to do is only so that in one way or another, we feel good about it…Before, during, and after that particular positive “result” is produced. This works the same way in our personal lives as it does in business; because everything we’re creating always has a process that takes a little time, for our results to show up.
In time as we go along, the things that we have or the situations we are a part of – if left alone the way they are, eventually become a little bit less than they were in the beginning. And this isn’t necessarily due to any flaws or faults, at all. Over time, whatever we have begins to lose its luster a bit, and this is why we desire and reach out for more. The positive feelings we have when something is brand new are at their peak. So, as time passes, we are trying to re-create that surge or energy boost that makes us feel good.
This is why we have goals to keep achieving something greater, or to have more. We’re simply trying to build on the positive feelings we have. This dynamic process works in the same way for our customers and our employees, too. Everyone wants to feel a bit better than they do – right now! So, regardless of how we get “there,” we all have the same positive destination in mind.
We already know this cycle very well for our customers, because we are constantly in the process of making more available to them in some way. A better system, sales and promotions, different merchandise, etc. We know that they’ll need a little boost regularly to continue feeling good about doing business with you! This is why most businesses expand on what they have to offer. It’s to ensure that the “shine” on your business stays fresh with your customers. This positive feeling only guarantees a growth in your bottom line. So, making them feel good is how you grow profits to make you feel good, as well. In this loop, you both had a direct hand in giving each other, what you wanted and needed!
This cycle works the same way for our employees, too. Since how they feel is directly passed onto customers, maybe you can see now why giving them a little boost every once and a while is so important to the numbers that end-up in your bottom line.
