How Do My Proposal Numbers Work?
There's only one reason why my ideas work in just the way that I express them in my proposals...See the Golden Thread, above?
The need and the opportunity are right there, and most importantly – my proposal takes everyone in the company’s needs – emotionally, logistically, and financially, into account. So, this means there are no negative drawbacks or side-effects, long-term.
Most consulting firms deal with “quick fixes” to cut costs or to add numbers – without taking into account how their idea will fit into all of the other major working parts of your company. How many times have you made a deal and gained, only to find that the idea in the long-term has put a damper on the way that your daily operations – function?
Long before I became a consultant, I was an entry level worker and an account manager, and I’ve seen many different operations through the years, actually hurt the system that is in place to make you money. So, I’ve seen many good ideas on the ground level, come and go…
For every company that I’ve worked for even in the short-term, I’ve always asked myself only one question:
How does this idea impact – the workers, the customers, and the people at the top?
Does this idea make operations run that much smoother – without problems to ensure that the system will only work – better? In most of my endeavors, I have seen the experience of others involved, only to hear a negative outcome that is often unseen by people at the top. In other words, an idea that seems lucrative from the top-down, might not play out well on the ground, directly where the impact is. So, while numbers on one side of the metric sheet will be going “up,” on the operations side – stress, mistakes, delays and frustration are playing out at the bottom. This is digging into the other parts of your operation that need to run well, so that profits can continue to rise. With the thousands of transactions that take place in a day, it might not be very clear as to what a given idea is doing, where the customers and employees – meet.
Since the register is the place – where sales numbers grow the most, I base my proposal and my ideas – there. Everything else that a business is doing behind the scenes is only to support that transaction. And sometimes those “great” ideas in time, only take away from the positive relationship that’s driving the sales you make, every day.
That’s why my idea is truly unique.
Other than my 10% fee on the first year’s projected net sales, my idea usually doesn’t cost the company anything, or it's minimal. My approach allows every single part of the sales transaction to become more effective – while it raises gains. Not just for now, but in the future, as well. And, that’s the key.
With a carefully crafted idea in place, not only do your sales numbers grow, but emotionally, logistically, and financially, relationships are maximized – across the board. One positive sincere gesture in the right place will enhance all of the relationships between your employees and your customers. And, besides the goods – this is the only thing that’s making those repeated transactions, happen. If those bonds are not strong and secure on both sides of the counter, people will simply go anywhere to get what they need or want – as long as the price is right!
If you’ve been in business for a while, as a customer, a manager, or even a CEO – you know what you’re looking for when you enter a brick-and-mortar store. You want the whole package, and not just an item…You want a friendly, responsive and knowledgeable staff, a well-kept and stocked store, people who work together, and you want the item you’re looking for at a great price. As a customer – nothing less than this will do, for very long…
So, put my 30+ years’ experience to work. Grow sales, increase employee motivation, dedication, and knowledge, and ensure that your customers and employees get the positive service, and recognition that they deserve. How does all of this – come from just one good idea?
To figure this part out, I rely on my EMT and Nursing background. In biology, we learned that a good idea for the body – works for every single part of it, and how well it is able to function, because of that influence…
I simply transferred this one simple truth – to business.
Every good idea for your company, both directly and indirectly, supports every major part of it. That's the only litmus test you’ll need to ensure that your idea is a good one!
It’s not just wishful thinking. It’s how we work, and how our operations work together to produce the results we desire. When the customers and the employees have what they need to be happy and to do a job well done, everything here – is fulfilling the needs of the shareholders and the company as a whole, too. So, this very simple philosophy is how my proposal ideas and the numbers it produces, works – for you.
And, from one good idea comes many more to follow it. As long as your future ideas meet the needs of the first half of your business circle, everything else will be coming around to fill-in the other side of your bottom line, as well. Like clockwork, in fact. This way, all of our needs and desires are being fulfilled at the same time.
“If an idea works for your employees, that will directly translate to your customers. If it works for your customers, the sales that follow – will work for your shareholders, and – for you. One string with just two ends. And, one good idea or turn around, keeps your business wheel moving easily and steadily, ahead. Naturally, from here, profits will only continue to rise...
And, that’s what makes my proposal numbers – work!”
