A House That Stands the Test of Time.

I have to admit up front – this is the most difficult article I’ve ever written! How do you summarize 180+ pages of a blog? Since the age of 17, I’ve never been at a loss for words or how to express them. Luckily (after countless hours and years of thinking, searching and practicing), I’ve found a way to say what I wanted to say – and what you might need to hear, so that lasting joy and having your business work better than it ever has before, could not only be a possibility – but a guarantee.

When you first opened your front doors and cut that ribbon, the sky was the limit on what you could do. Now, after many doors have been opened (and after all the ups and downs), you’ve made it – to come to back to where you are, right now. In looking back, down and all-around at what you’ve created, even here – you still have many places that you desire to go. The journey never really ends. There’s always something new on the horizon to set your sights on…

With over 60 articles…I’ve only tried to encourage and have you believe in just one idea. Let’s take a look at it…

Picture a beautiful, quiet house that has many different rooms and two floors.

On the first floor is where your customers and employees – meet. They’re goal is to simply have the best time possible – while making your vision, a reality. For you, and for them.

On the second floor is where you live. You get to look up and look down to see if everything is working to bring your vision – right back to the top – where you are. Then, you can take all of that energy, enthusiasm and the means to build a third floor. It isn’t here, just yet. You’re in the process of making those plans develop…That’s the future you’re looking out towards seeing – sometime, very soon.

Now…Here’s where the gap is.

You’ve built a world leading business. When it was tiny in the beginning, you gave it all you had to make sure everything – was “just right.” In fact, that’s how your business grew to where it is, right now.

After many years, storms, victories and uncertainties, you’re still in the game. You’re still here. What will the future bring? It doesn’t really matter. As long as you’re making sure that those happy and productive ends are meeting on the first and second floor, easily and consistently…Now you can look “up” to those plans for a third, coming through…

Just like building a house.

As long as the foundation is set in the way that it needs to be to completely support what’s on top of it (you and your vision), whatever you would like to do from here – is just about guaranteed.

If for some reason, you make the decision that any one of those floors needs to be in disarray or in misery – for you to have and enjoy a third one…It’s already game over for the plans you’ve made. Why? Because the foundation of your house and what’s happening there – is what’s supporting and funding your means to create and expand the top floor. The process that’s happening downstairs – is generating everything that’s funneling upwards. You name it.

If the bottom floor and the foundation need work, you can bet the building inspector isn’t going to give you the “green light” to build another layer onto what’s there. (And, rightly so.) Your life, security, prosperity and your safety – is literally built on how well the first few floors are doing. So, if it makes it easier to make the direct connections as to “why” in a simple example, there you go. (It would be pretty difficult to come up with a better example for clarity.)

You’ve earned your spot close to the very top of your vision to do only two things: To keep what’s below you in great shape (now that you have the means), and to allow that stability to keep moving you forward to build – even more.

When we have everything in the right place: for our customers, employees, our vendors, our shareholders (and maybe even our outer environment), we can literally do whatever we want…With no second thoughts, no go-backs, and without a doubt or delay. The energy and real confidence that comes from knowing our house “is in order” easily allows us to live off of that energy, and it literally pulls – everything up, with us. And, besides for everyone else’s sake, too…That’s why this truth is so important to you.

When we’re constantly dealing with headaches below…This takes away our focus, our enjoyment, and the enthusiasm we have – to just move forward. To me, there is nothing more stressful than having something “get in the way” of what we really wanted to do. Especially, when we have more control over those circumstances than we think…

So, my philosophy and my method – takes care of all of that holdback and stress, so you can rest easy (and make everyone else happy about where they are in your business), and you can have the most of everything on your end, too. Like a perfect math equation, where both sides need to be “satisfied” to come out to the right answer (read – your bottom line), that’s all I’m helping you do. To make sure everything has what it needs to be just about hassle free, so you can move – full steam ahead.

From outside appearances…I might be a little green; or even seem a little overly optimistic to some. But I know what I know – from looking at the exact same equation, inside and out – for over 30 years. If I can successfully link 41 different categories of life together from a complete standstill in my book, “A Place Where We Love To Be” then, I can help you connect all of the dots in your business, as well.

The way I work is from a 360 degree perspective, where we can dig as deep or as shallow as you’d like on any given point in your business. It doesn’t really matter what the starting point is. In the end – those points just need to meet back at the same positive place. Every move – is cross-referenced against the opposite sides of the room to make sure (like a laser level line) that everything is good – all the way around.

Then…

You can start building your dreams for the future on a foundation that will stand about any: Test of Time. And, from here, the sky really isn’t the limit on where you can go. You can go – wherever you want…Now that everything’s in the right place.
