The Wheel of Fortune: How One Good Idea...Grows Every Part of your Business!

Especially if we run a very large company, there are a quite a few steps that we take throughout the day to make our operations work. Sometimes, even though the financial numbers are rolling in, once and a while, we need to get back in touch with the “basics” that are making our movements work. Like a master chef who stops and tastes the recipe (just before it goes out to the customer), we can put ourselves right in the middle of the “sweet spot,” so that we can feel even better about what we’re doing to make our business successful for everyone involved…

Everyone who’s successful in life and in business knows the moves they make every day, are all adding-up to what’s there – both in profits, and in how good we feel about what we’ve accomplished. Sometimes, with all of the moves that we need to make, we can become detached from the bigger process that’s happening everywhere, around us. To reconnect those dots again, let’s take a look at how our individual moves are adding up to the success we were hoping to find in every other major part of our business – to keep it going. We’ll use a productive business deal as an example to show how every area of our business is being affected, by the positive moves – we make. Remembering just how far those positive benefits are traveling, will only make us feel even better about what we’re doing every day…So, let’s take it from the top:

When a CEO, Board of Directors or the Upper Management is involved with a positive or lucrative business deal, that energy and enthusiasm is traveling out much further into the business, than we might expect.

After a successful meeting the positive energy and the emotions generated here, are carried out into every part of the business to completely refresh – what’s there. As this positive enthusiasm catches on, that energy is transferred directly to the workforce. Even though the individuals involved feel fantastic about what’s being created for the business as a whole, this wave of inspiration just continues on to the operations side. And, besides the product or service, this is also what’s being extended – to the customer…

Your Employees:

As a positive change is happening, this gives the employees something to be excited about, too! The boost that they feel goes directly into their work. This not only increases productivity, but it’s also the energy that they have – to pass onto the customers, as well.

Your Customers:

Besides receiving a great product or service, the energy and the positive attitude that the employees have – is half of what’s creating a successful transaction. That enthusiasm doesn’t just stop where your employees are. This is the exact same message that your customers are receiving. As an employee, it’s up to us to generate a good amount of enthusiasm for what we’re doing of course; but when we’re a part of something that’s working (as far as logistics go), this only makes it easier to keep that energy up – and moving. This is why the benefit of things working at the top – naturally works for those closer to the bottom of the business wheel, too. The positive energy that’s generated in any part of your business stays local, but it’s also traveling outward at the same time, as well. And this only guarantees that your business operations can continue to run as well as they possibly can, with ease…

When an employee has a successful transaction with a customer, the positive feedback that they get from this, goes right back into their work – to ensure your business can keep on creating even more profits, with almost nothing in the way to slow down “that return” on its way back – to you! (Do you have a much better view of where all of this positive energy is going now?)

Your Shareholders:

Far from wanting to be involved in this successful scenario just from an increase in profits, shareholders can also be customers or employees, as well. So, when they feel good about how the business is running, and what’s being offered – they’re much more likely to want to invest their time and money in your business. A steady growth in numbers is one way to grab a shareholder’s attention. But when both of sides of this equation are working – even more people will want to get involved. It works this way to increase the amount of customers and employees we have, too. That’s – growth. Everyone wants to be involved with – something that’s working, and that makes you feel good! (This is the universal formula or recipe behind anything that’s incredibly successful. You’ll always find these two ingredients in the mix.)

Multiply all of the benefits in this positive cycle – from top to bottom, and back to the top – and that's what's naturally happening every day, during any positive transaction or interaction we have. The positive energy and the results we’re creating, and how we feel about it – is all working together everywhere – to keep our business moving up to even greater heights…In one enjoyable and successful transaction – at a time.

Making a successful business deal is only adding to the “Wheel of Fortune” that’s already here. When we make anything positive happen for us locally, or in any major part of our business, it’s all coming and going back to the very same place – to repeat the winning formula, every day. Rather than being repetitive or routine, this is how we keep enthusiasm moving with us, while also extending it out to the other parts of our business that need it, to ensure it keeps growing in the easiest and most enjoyable way, possible.

Besides making a great deal happen, what else can we do to make sure our wheel keeps spinning, and the outcome we’re a part of is almost always – a good one?

When we ask this question, whatever answer we come up with…Will work for us, just as much as it will, for the furthest extensions of our business. Remembering this alone, will allow you to feel so much better about the positive steps you’ll be taking, both now and later on. Who said that getting back to the “sweet spot” in business – needed to be difficult?

Sometimes, one good idea that will create positive benefits everywhere – is all you really need!
